The DCCC has moved quickly to name national chairman as the new Congress was seated this week:
New York Rep. Joe Crowley, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Pennsylvania Rep. Allyson Schwartz, Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, and Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico Pedro Pierluisi will serve as DCCC national chairmen, titles previously dubbed vice chairmen. Crowley will lead the committee's fundraising campaign, Wasserman Schultz will head incumbent retention and redistricting efforts, Schwartz will oversee candidate recruitment, Ellison will head the campaign committee’s community partnerships, and Pierluisi will oversee the committee's community mobilization plans.
