Home of the Lehigh Valley

Sayre, PA was the home of the Lehigh Valley Railroad. Complete with a roundhouse, large shop facility, yards, and a large station built in 1888, Sayre was a true railroad town. Let's start with a 1907 view of the station and yard area.


This circa 1910 view of the rear roundhouse entrance includes a few camelback locomotives.
