PS3 update 3.55 – according to the latest technology reports we came to know that Sony has launched another P.S.3 firmware upgrade during this evening. PS3 update 3.55 refers to the firmware version number that is now certainly available for you and everyone else to download. I was taking a close look at the PS3 update 3.55 and presumably all it contains is security patching and nothing much. The next time you will turn on your P.S.3 connected to the internet you will get a download message.
However talking more about the security patches then that is something Sony will rarely dig in to. Is it time for us to make use of the P.S jailbreak application once again? According to reports Jailbreak was updated in the month of November. It was updated in accordance to its compatibility with the firmware 3.50. Since then there has not been any firmware update.
Also, if you are not aware of this, recently PS3 was hacked by using the X3 Max PS3 application; enabling a user to actually jailbreak the PS3 without the use of its firmware.
So therefore I think it is justified that Sony has blocked all the access to such hacks. I can project that due to all these happenings hackers and Sony will be permanently engaged in this which can result in frequent updates for a lot pf PS3 users. I think now it is just a matter of a few months time when we will be introduced to yet another update requesting us to enable downloads and start all over again. I wish they have a way out.
