JONATHAN FRANZEN

Jonathan Franzen has finally made to the Oprah Winfrey Show on Monday this year for his new book ‘Freedom’. The talk show ruler Oprah Winfrey has finally invited Jonathan Franzen on Monday at her talk show after they have disagreement a decade ago. In 2001 Franzen has written a book ‘The Corrections’ which was picked by Oprahs book club but Franzen has showed bit dislike saying that he does not want Oprah’s sticker on his books and at that time Oprah has disinvited him for her Oprah Winfrey Show.

The famous novelist Jonathan Franzen has informed that in April this year he has sent his new novel, ‘Freedom’ to Oprah for her book club and which she accepted graciously. According to Franzen that ‘Freedom’ is the book that Oprah will really like because she like such stories that have some social force in them. Franzen admitted that he has doubts about Oprah being open and receptive or not and let go of her hurt feelings after the debacle of 2001.

Jonathan Franzen was glad that Oprah has graciously accepted his book for her book club. Oprah has also gave him a warm welcome at her show and hugged him though he was third guest at the show following the family of Michael Jackson and Michelle Rhee. The novelist and Oprah do talk a little about their past awful history and has encouraged each other to forget it and forgive. Franzen was bit embarrassed when Oprah declared that ‘Freedom’ might be the book of the decade that is about how one should open his mind and heart.
