Care Bear pictures – following the World’s Cartoon day’s activities, a message appeared on FB (1st December) that quotes “you can change your FB profile image to an animated character from your past, your childhood and also invite your family and pals to do the same. Until 6th of December there should be only cartoon images and no human faces of FB, but only an invasion of thoughts, memories from our childhoods; a movement against violence and abuse against children”.
Since that time we have observed that quite a lot of people from all over the nation have followed the instructions to pool in their part in the activity. A lot of cartoon characters from the past especially 70s, 80s and 90s came back to life and Care Bear pictures were one of them. Bugs Bunny and Flintstones also seemed to make a great comeback.
Even celebrities and members of mass social movements have followed the message and change their pictures accordingly so that this highly significant issue can be brought to notice and so that common men can be educated.
Going back to the 70s, Yogi Bear and Scooby Doo became alive during this movement. Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bear pictures are the animations from the 80s. Even cartoons from the 90s such as The Simpson’s and Rugrats came to life.
The sad part is that there is an ongoing increase in the child abuse cases around the globe and we need to join our hands to educate the nation accordingly. Changing your display picture to an animated character from your childhood will revive your memories.
