The bill received 145 votes for it and only 15 against it. The main opposition United National Party abstained from voting.
The committee stage debate on the defence allocation was held today in parliament and it passed the 2011- Budget allocation for the Ministry of Defence by a majority of 132 votes with 144 voting in favour while 12 voting against them.
